Band Program

If you are already past the beginner stage as a musician or as a vocalist and think that your are ready and would like to be in a band then this program is for you. Our “Rock U America Band” program will allow you to play in a band with musicians who are at a similar skill level and age as you. You will meet once a week with your band mates and your Rock U America Musical Director and work on various skills needed to play in a band and on stage. Once your band is ready to take the stage you will be able to perform at one of our “Rock U America Gig Nights” and we will assist you with setting up other gigs to perform at. So if you are ready to let the world hear what you have to offer then by all means sign up for this program.

A typical Rock U America band might consist of a lead guitar player, rhythm guitar player, bass player, drummer and a lead singer. If you play one of these instruments or are a vocalist than this program is for you. Once accepted into this program, you will meet once a week with your band mates and your Rock U America Musical Director for one hour. You must first meet with us for a free evaluation to see if you at least have the basic skills needed to participate in this program. Please note that we will only place kids ages 9-12 in a band together, teens ages 13 to 18 and adults in a band together. Rarely will we mix ages groups except under special circumstances.

Every student enrolled in our program is assigned to a specific band who will then have a weekly band class/rehearsal at a time that works for you. Students practice with the same band for an hour every week. They learn the many layers that go into playing with a band. Rock U America Band Classes are led by instructors who have experience with rehearsing and performing with their own bands currently or in the past.

Rock U America Bands give several performances throughout the year at our very own Rock U America Gig Nights and other venues. These shows are a great way for us to set goals for our bands and to keep them working together in the most productive manner. A Rock U America Gig Night is a perfect family event because our music is good, clean fun for family and friends.

Students will also learn every step of the production process from the class room to the stage. Our students are taught how to be valuable members of a rock band by learning their instrument, song arrangement and audience interaction. Technical aspects of performance such as sound reinforcement, amplification, lighting and acoustics are also areas of focus. The cost for the Rock U America Band Program is $50 per month with no contract or long-term commitment.
